How do I Create a Manifesto?

MegaphoneGraphic.2Hello Friends,

If you are just joining us, this post is the last of a series of three on manifestos. We have about WHY we believe writing a manifesto is important shared OUR personal manifesto with you here at Laura TWO Tina.

We want to want to offer guidance on how you can write your own personal manifesto. There are a lot of resources out there for this but we like  Alexandra Franzen "5 Ways to Write a Blow-Your-Mind Manifesto".

As Alexandra directs....

"what do you believe?  What kind of world do you want to live in? What do you know for sure?"

Another great resource we like is by Marelisa Fabrega.  She states,

"A personal manifesto is a declaration of your core values and beliefs, what you stand for, and how you intend to live your life. It functions both as a statement of principles and as a call to action." She has some good prompts to get you going.

To take this one step further and to speak to  your specific voice in the world, here is some advice from Artists U.  They are a fantastic resource for those looking for some direct guidance on making a living as an artist.  You can download the book for FREE!  Tina has written about this before in her letter "a crash course in creativity I & II .  Andrew Simmot outlines specifically how to write an artist statement but it also could be applied to a manifesto of your wisdom collected.

Perhaps we write another series on artist statements? Let us know if this would interest you in the comments below. If you found this letter helpful in some way please forward it onto a friend or anyone you think may appreciate taking a moment to reflect on the kind of world they wish to live in.

Collectively we can make the world a better place for everyone.

Cheers!

Laura&Tina
