99 pieces of art gone in a flash!

Hello Sweet T & friends!

I have been busy getting the studio ready for when Tina comes. Just 8 more days!!! WHOOO HOO! I can hardly stand the wait! In the process of cleaning I decided to rearrange almost the entire studio! I am tired just thinking about it!  It has been quite steamy here in CT, so I probably didn’t pick the best time to do this but I was inspired. In my process of organizing this year I have slowly been going through all my drawers and bins trying to simplify my life. It feels SOOOO good! Tons more to do but small steps each week are making way to a feeling of calm and a light at the end of the tunnel.

I have a lot of fun things going on and wanted to share this special event with you. Tomorrow evening the Mystic Arts Center will celebrate  it’s 99th year with an event not to be missed! They have many activities going on including a quite innovative and different type of fundraiser (see below for details) . I am happy to be one of the 99 participating artists who generously donated work for this special event. It was really fun to do and I am honored to be a part of it. You can see part of my painting above. I intentionally didn’t share the whole painting as the artists names will be on the back, making it all the more fun to guess who’s is who’s! They always do a spectacular job of transforming the space for the gala, making it a night to remember. I for one cannot wait to see all of the different pieces of art by my favorite artists! Who knows, maybe I will be taking one home! It is amazing to be a part of such a wonderful community. Hope you can make it!

love, laura
