Cheers to magical fairy houses, art & LOVE!

Hello Sweet T & friends~

I feel like I have been off the radar from any kind of routine but I am without complaint that is for sure! We have had a series of the most wonderful house guests over the past few weeks. Both old and new friends came down to ignite our hearts and enliven our spirits. I am so very grateful! I have “a thing” about wanting to be fully present with the people I am with and had “unplugged” without telling you so I would like to apologize for that.

I am back now and ending a productive week of teaching an Art & Nature Camp. I don’t teach camp very often but I love this one as it is a collaboration between the Mystic Arts Center and the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center. Two very special places here in Mystic. This year we had the fullest camp we have ever had and it has been so much fun! I love collaborating with nature and art. One of my favorite days was when we made fairy houses and discussed the work of Andy Goldsworthy whose work I love. Here is a little video of his remarkable work. If you get a chance to see Rivers & Tides you should watch it! I have seen it several times and each time I see something new. I am in constant awe of his perseverance and the connections he makes with his surroundings.

I have TONS more to share including some highlights of my Studio M show in Mystic, my first outdoor art festival,  a new show at AETNA’s gallery, DIY projects, home renovations and a complete studio redo! WOWZA! Stay tuned and have a nice weekend!

love, Laura

I will be celebrating my 6 year Anniversary with my sweet honey! “Still crazy after all these years…”

I still love my dress and long veil. Did I mention we got married in a beautiful garden on the HOTTEST day of the year? I didn't even care that I couldn't stop sweating!
One of my favorite pictures of the night was when everyone went outside with the sparklers! So fun!

  1. What beautiful wedding pictures – you guys look so HAPPY!
Looking forward to hearing the “highlights” – haven’t seen you in way too long.

  2. I have also seen that movie numerous times and would watch it again! Andy is truly an inspiration. Happy Anniversary and best wishes for many more.
