Dear tina~

I had a productive weekend in the garden moving things around, planning for next year and digging up plants to share. It felt great! I also was lucky enough to be a part of a great printmaking demo given by the fabulous Carol Dunn where I learned about solar print etching~so cool! For whatever reason I have been itching to bake which I rarely do mostly because I don’t like to have sweets in the house due to my sugar addiction. I wanted to make something healthy so I decided to try Jillian Michael’s harvest pumpkin muffins. They came out great and I even got Brett to try them–he didn’t die~ha! AND I think he would like them again! The house smelled so good and fostered the fall vibe in the air. Here is to embracing the season!

p.s. I have been given some great recipes lately and wondered if any of our readers had any healthy fall favorites to share. Who knows, maybe I will be inspired to bake again in this century! Ha!

Dear Laura,

We had a beautiful weekend spend camping on Edisto Island, SC.  Off the shore were numerous shrimp boats working around the clock.  The dolphins and birds hung around to get an easy meal while we were able to see some interesting wildlife.  It made me wonder if you have seasonal fishing boats out on the water this time of year.  Maybe the water is too cold already up there?  Fall has certainly arrived here.
