Vision 12

Hey T~

Tina~ In thinking about the "wisdom of the trees" from last weeks Vision I came across this tree. It was nice to see man working with nature instead of against it. xoL
Dear Laura, This is at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington DC (I just got back from there). There were four of these sculptures on the museum grounds created by Nora Naranjo-Morse. They stuck me more than any art I saw all weekend. Created with black locust wood, clay, bamboo, dirt, sand, straw, grass, and yam vines titled "Always Becoming" and will purposely erode over time "reflecting the growth, transformation, and Native peoples relationship with the land". Notice the Capitol in the background as well. ~Tina
