We made a short video for you to document and share what we discovered from exploring the idea of beauty in our work. It was exciting to see how it culminated in our exhibition “Two Artists Shifting Perspectives on Beauty” this month at Studio M in Mystic, CT. The show will be up until the end of May for those who would still like to see it. Our work is so different (in a good way) and it is rare to see it together.
We had a beautiful opening reception and want to give a BIG thank you to Mara Gillen Beckwith for hosting us at her gallery as well as those who came out Friday night for our artist talk. We put a lot of time and thought into it and having you there honored the work in such a special way. You have inspired us with not only the warmth of your presence, but your input for our installation work on beauty. We know some of you traveled over an hour to attend and very much appreciate it! THANK YOU!
This has been a whirlwind trip for us with this exhibition to attend to, but rest assure we have been very busy digesting what we have learned through this experience, writing, reflecting, and of course talking (geesh we can talk). We have been unusually quiet on the blog and social media because we have been cooking and stewing over some new ideas and needed this concentrated time to process everything.
We are looking forward to the next phase of Laura TWO Tina so stick around and walk this journey with us. So much more goodness to come!
