Hello Tina & friends,
I am celebrating some BIG news today!!! Although this has been in the works for a while now, it is official, I am entering into the world of licensing! What this means is that I signed with a wonderful publishing company who will reproduce my work on high quality, fine art giclee canvases. These will then get sold wholesale to small boutiques and larger stores internationally. Pretty cool, right? I am still in the early stages of getting my work to them and making sure I have everything photographed and documented but I am BEYOND thrilled just getting started! Thank you universe for always being on my side and showing me that ANYTHING is possible when you move forward in the direction of your dreams!
METcolors is the company I will be working with. I thought I would share this statement from their website which gives you a wonderful description of who they are….
“METcolors is a new cutting edge art publishing and wholesale company that was born from the association of established players in the industry. Our unique high end wall decor is the fruit of over 30 years of experience. With beyond 10,000 images, we strive to channel the top trends of the moment through exclusive contemporary art we meticulously select from internationally acclaimed artists.
We love our business…
…and that is why we take enormous pride in every single piece of art we create. Our goal is to provide our customers with innovative artwork while maintaining the most competitive prices.”
Pinch me! I am so excited and grateful for this new endeavor!
In between all of this excitement I am still moving my studio. All of the big stuff is moved and set up pretty much the way I want it, I just have some sorting of materials, organization, shelves to put up and decorating to do. One of the things I am most excited about is the new shelving my friend, Dick Sartor built me to house all my canvases (thank you Dick!). These fit perfectly under the stairs and make great use of every inch of space. I can’t wait to fill them! I promise I will take more pictures when I can catch my breath. Thank you all so very much for following along in my journey. Honestly, it means the world to me and I feel so supported by all your kind words and sharing of my work. Sending you a sunshiny day!
p.s. I have a lot to learn about licensing and have been finding these two websites useful: Tara Reed’s Art Licensing & Maria Brophy. Maybe they will be helpful to you too should you choose to pursue licensing for yourself.
