Hello Sweet T & friends~
When I was teaching art full time I always started the school year off by having my kids design a sketch journal cover that was then bound into a book. It gave them (and me) a place to sketch, write and record their world. They were valued an treasured as a safe place to explore the world. I still make one every year and thought I would share this year’s cover with you.
I usually put a saying on my journals to give me something to reflect on for the year. This year I wrote, “You determine the quality of your light” which is a phrase that resonated with me from a longer quote by Alan Alda which states,
“You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you will discover is yourself.”
I would love to know what quotes are resonating with you right night now….
p.s. If you want to see some of my past journal covers you can peek HERE. It is always fun for me to look back and see how my style has changed or what phrases resonated with me in the past!
